We chose this image because we were looking for a creative way to symbolize hope. The first visions that come to mind are hands reaching up towards the sky, or arms stretched open. But what about deeper, more metaphorical means of hope? For this we found a window, and we loved the title “Dreaming in a Grey Reality.” Within the dark room it is grey and worn, crumbling foundation, chipped paint and cracks in the wall. But beyond the grey reality, there is life, there is color, there is hope. And even though one may feel constrained by the grey surroundings, take note that there is a window featuring the preview of life’s coming attractions, and there is a way out. This is our symbol of hope.
